The Albufera of Valencia

            The Albufera of Valencia is in the Natural Park of the Albufera, in an area of 21.120 hectares, in the sector south-oriental of the plain of Valencia.

            This plain, geologicaly reduce, has been cover by the water of the torrential rains from quaternary period to ours days, after close the old gulf by the coastal cord that CAME from Valencia to Cullera, crossing Sueca and the Camping Les Palmeres.

            From the year 1990, the Natural Park of the Albufera is included in the humid area list of international significance by the birds that live in this area.

             The Natural Park of the Albufera have a big variety of habitats that allow the exístence of a big global diversity of species of fauna and flora:

• The Restinga or sandy barrier, with mobile dunes throughout the length and breadth of the beach.
• El Marsh, that fill the bigger surfice of the park, and used to the traditional crop of the rice. The routes that cross allow visit towns as El Saler, Albal, cullera, Sueca, with points of big touristic interest.
• The Albufera, with 2.837 hectares, of big ecological and landscape value. Could be visit in boat, that allow to the tourist view free a large variety of single birds dependent of the exclusive vegetation of the zone, that also stay in his aquatic ambience in winter.
• The mountain, that could find in Cullera (the cabeçol) and in Sueca (Els Sants de Pedra).
• The Dehesa of the La Albufera have a big value due to his móviles and no móviles dunes, the lake and the SALT pan, that convert the Dehesa in a unique ambience.
